The granddaughters of Fred Phelps, Megan Phelps-Roper and her younger sister Grace Phelps-Roper, have left the hate group known as the Topeka, Kansas congregation of the Westboro Baptist Church. Just a thing; I’m pretty sure Megan and Grace Phelps-Roper are Nate Phelps’ nieces? They’re definitely not his sisters. Still, I hope that they all do get in touch; it looks like their leaving the WBC was really traumatic for them (and really, who would expect it to be otherwise), and having someone who’s been through similar experiences would probably be comforting. Phelps-Roper now lives in a small South Dakota town with her husband and their daughter. She graciously agreed to answer a dozen questions about Unfollow on the heels of a whirlwind tour of the book.
